Testimonials
Nate’s personal training methods make a difference. The workouts are never easy but they are rewarding. His quiet, encouraging example guides you to undeniable results. This gym is intelligent, personalized training put to maximum use for all people of all ages.”
My total knee replacement took place in late October, and I waited until January to resume training with Nate. Being in my 80’s we decided to only work on the upper body and let the knee continue to heal. Nate was careful to make sure I didn’t fall or strain the knee joint. Finally, the hospital PT person said it was OK to do some leg work with Nate. It felt good to do leg extensions on the sled, even though the weight was minimal. I wanted more sled weight, but Nate said NO! more reps! and more reps! when moderate pain was felt, it was time to stop for the session. Along the way, he had me do Hamstring stretches and Quad stretches, as he saw them tightening up. With Nate’s help and careful monitoring, the knee is getting stronger.
When I first came to see Nate, I was 30lbs. heavier and settling into a lethargic middle-age. Three years later, I feel more energized and continue to make gains. Nate's methods provide the plan, the pathway, and the payoff toward a better life. This is a function fitness find that I recommend to friends and family.
MEET YOUR TRAINER
BIO
Hello, my name is Nathan Marshall, I'm a certified personal trainer and a certified nutrition specialist who specializes in strength training and body mechanics. As a trainer, I've worked with people from 14 years of age to 91, athletes, and those who were pre- and post-operation from knee, hip, shoulder, and spine injuries or replacements. I am also certified to work with people who have diabetes and how to manage a healthy lifestyle with it.
My journey started when I was 10 years old, and with a passion for bodybuilding. With now 24 years of experience, my passion is helping people get stronger, move better, and work on whatever areas of fitness will ultimately improve their quality of life.
As a U.S. Armed Forces veteran, discipline is ingrained in me; with that, I’ve learned three crucial lessons: hard work, unwavering consistency, and patience, as real progress takes time.
